1. It’s a Brand New Game

Pokémon Champions is a brand new Pokémon Switch game new game set to be released in 2025! It’s set to feature an arena where players from all over the world can battle it out, and we can’t wait!

2. It Was Announced on Pokémon Day

Yes, there is a Pokémon day! It’s on 27th February, and it’s often used to announce exciting upcoming events – like the release of Pokémon Champions!

3. It’s Not To Be Confused With the Pokémon Championships

Pokémon Champions and Pokémon Championships are NOT the same thing! The World Pokémon Championships are taking place in Anaheim, California, USA this year, and will include battles, panels and a chance to trade Pokémon!

4. It Will Have Ten Language Options

Good news for Pokémon fans across the world! The game will be available in 10 languages! These include Japanese, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Korean, and Chinese.

5. You Can’t Play With All Pokémon On it

Unfortunately, even though the game has lots of fun Pokémon to battle with, you won’t be able to battle with every Pokémon possible. You CAN bring Pokémon from your Scarlet and Violet Nintendo Switch games though, which is pretty cool!

6. It’s Cross Platform

Good news! The game will be available on Nintendo Switch AND mobile phones, which means you can play with your mates, even if they don’t have a Switch! Perfect!

7. The Game Has New Playable Characters

The game includes two brand new playable trainer characters, male and female. We don’t know their names yet, but we hope to find out very soon!

8. It Doesn’t Have an Exact Release Date Yet

Pokémon Champions gives you the option to add Pokémon you’ve already collected in other games, like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, meaning you won’t have to worry about leaving your favourite Pokémon behind!

Pokémon Champions is developed by The Pokémon Works, alongside other developers. Pokémon Works have already worked on Pokémon HOME, so we know they’re qualified for this!
