Well, don’t you worry! - that national frown is about to be turned well-and-truly upside-down thanks to Stratus Class (Year 5) from Riverley Primary School in Leyton, London, who have just been named Britain’s Funniest Class by Beano!

And just how have they got the nation laughing, chucking, chortling and just downright lol-ing?

As winners of this year’s competition, Stratus Class and their teacher, Ms. Maisha Mahfuza - who has also been named Britain’s Funniest Teacher - have won the ultimate prize of being immortalised in Beano form by legendary comic artist Nigel Parkinson.

The winning school will also receive the official Beano 'Britain’s Funniest Class' trophy, coveted Golden Gnasher Badges, comic subscriptions for the whole class and their school library, and a copy of Beano’s boomic ‘The Day We Got Uploaded’.

So, let’s hear three cheers for the funniest pupils in the UK (plus their teacher, of course) - Stratus Class! Thanks for giving us lots to lol about – and well done for being voted Britain’s Funniest Class 2025!
